Sanjay Raut mocks on Sonu Sood for helping immigrants
Mumbai: The greatest migrant worker hero these days is Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. During the lockdown, the actor sent millions of workers back homelands at his own expense.
Sonu’s example of human existence is being debated not only in Mumbai but in every part of the world. But the ruling Shiv Sena in Maharashtra doesn’t really like Sonu Sood ‘s work.
According to reports, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut attacked Sonu Sood in such a satirical piece, who did help migrants to arrange busses and flights for all of them and students trapped in Maharashtra and other states.
It may be noted that Sood met with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in Raj Bhavan a few days ago to inform him of his work and help migrant workers enter their homelands. Governor Koshyari praised Sonu Sood for his work and convinced him of his full support in this regard.
Sonu Sood grabbed the headlines, not because of his acting or filming, but because of the supportive job role, he’s been doing lately. The actor has been openly stepping up to help all those directly affected by the Coronavirus crisis. After managing busses and flights for stranded migrant workers and students locked in Maharashtra and other states, as reported, the actor had even financed another chartered flight to help fly over 170 local workers from the city to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on the budget airline, Air Asia India.
But Sonu Sood was recently mocked for doing such a gesture and called ‘a puppet controlled by the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP).’ According to reports, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay in a serious article, Raut also said Maharashtra has a legacy of human services that has seen wonderful social workers like Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Baba Amte of Maharashtra. Also, a new name has come up in this list, and that’s Sonu Sood. Saamana’s editorial checked somebody saw Sonu Sood in videos and pictures on the roadways, in the burning sun, trying to help the migrant workers.
In the last few days, a new ‘Mahatma‘ has named comes Sonu Sood. The last half-month or so, Sonu Sood’s name has been talked about for sending thousands of local workers to their native homelands in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Delhi, and other states. It is said that he could help these local workers when even the state government and the central government could do nothing.
Further beginning to question how much the actor was able to have all the busses in the middle of the lockdown to send the local workers, Sanjay Raut also said the actor was doing all this through the financial resources he collected from the charity.
Meanwhile, members of its film brotherhood, supporters, and well-wishers have been congratulating the Dabangg actor on social media. The actor urged everybody to come forward and help those who are being adversely affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
