The successful actor Robert Downey Jr. was born on 4th April 1965, in New York City, the son of the avant-garde, known best for his 1969 film Putney Swope. Downey started to behave as a young boy. His mother, Elsie, was also an actress who instilled a love of acting in her son. Raised in Greenwich Village with his older sister, Alison, Downey began his career film with a puppy in his father’s movie, Pound (1970), under which the actors played dogs.
